South Korean technology major, Samsung unveiled its flagship phablet Galaxy Note 3 on Wednesday without revealing its price, leaving many fans to guess.
However, after a couple of days of suspense, global telecom networks and online vendors have revealed the price of the new phablet. Going by the US and UK markets, the coveted Galaxy Note 3 (without contract) is said to cost anywhere between ₹45,700 and ₹60,000. If the rupee depreciation continues to go unabated, it may cost even more.
One of the US carrier networks, Verizon is reportedly taking pre-orders of Galaxy Note 3 for $299.99 (around ₹19,600) with two-year contract and without contract - $699.99 (approximately ₹45,700), whereas AT & T is offering the same device for $299.99 (around ₹19,600) with two-year contract and a hefty $724.99 (approximately ₹47,300) without contract.
In UK, the price of Galaxy Note 3 goes further North, online vendor Unlocked Mobiles is taking pre-order for the new Samsung phablet for whopping £598.97 (₹61,000), including VAT, whereas almost all network carriers in UK are offering it for £41 (₹4,180) to £47 (₹4,800) a month contract for two years.
According to press release by the company, Galaxy Note 3 will roll out in more than 140 countries on 25 September, and the good news is that, India is also said to be among the select regions to receive the new phablet. Samsung India representative confirmed this news to tech blog, BGR.
For Indian customers, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to come packed with Exynos 5240 Octa-core processor with sumptuous 3GB RAM for smooth operations and run on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS powered by 3200 mAh Battery.
It flaunts 5.7-inch super AMOLED full HD (1920x1080p) display and houses a 13.0-megapixel camera on the rear side with smart stabilization, CRI LED flash to enhance photography experience under low-light conditions and it can also record Ultra HD video (4K resolution-3840x2160p) at 30 fps. It sports a 2.0-megapxiel secondary camera on the front side.
Like its smartphone cousin, Galaxy S4, the phablet also comes loaded with smart features-smart pause, smart scroll and more. To protect from data theft and hacking, Samsung has introduced security system KNOX and an improved 'Find My Phone' application to trace the lost or stolen phone. Using this app, owners can erase data as well as disable the device from remote locations.
