Smartphone leader, Samsung has reportedly slashed the prices of the 2013 flagship phablet Galaxy Note 3 and Note 3 Neo in India.
Prospective consumers can now buy the phablet and its economic variant model for ₹40,698 and ₹29,570 respectively, at the company's official e-Store. [Interested buyers, click here]. Previously, they were priced ₹47,990 and ₹33,990 respectively.
So far, the company has not issued any official statement regarding the price-cut of Note 3 series devices. The timing of the price-cut has led many to speculate that the sudden price slash might be related to the impending launch of the fourth generation Galaxy Note next month.
But in reality, this seems to be a routine price-cut we see from Samsung for its products. The company is well known in the industry for reducing the prices of devices soon after their launch. Recently, it reduced the price of the Galaxy Gear Fit to ₹12,100 from ₹15,450 within two months of its release, reported NDTV.
Though Galaxy Note 3 is almost a year old in the market, it is still one of the top high-end devices. It sports 5.7-inch full HD super AMOLED display and ships with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS (v4.4.2 update released), Exynos 5 based Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 13.0-megapixel camera with BSI sensor, auto-focus, LED flash (High CRI) and a 2.0-megapixel camera on the front.
On the other hand, Note 3 Neo sports a 5.5 HD super AMOLED display and packs Hexa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, Android v4.3 Jelly Bean, 8.0-megapixel camera and a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front.
