South Korean technology giant Samsung has reportedly confirmed that it will launch the new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet along with a slew of consumer electronics goods by the end of October.
Atul Jain, Senior vice-president & Business Head (Consumer Electronics) of Samsung's South West Asia division, said the company's newly unveiled Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and a slew of electronics devices - ultra high definition TVs, laptops, digital cameras and a side-by-side refrigerator, will be launched in the coming months, reported PTI.
Samsung, which is set to release Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch on 25 September in India, will also launch a digital camera NX 300 later this month.
As a pre-cursor to the Diwali season, the company would launch Galaxy Note 10.1 and the expensive UHD (4K resolutions) TVs - a 98-inch set and a 110-inch device by October end. The new advanced OLED Curve TV, Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite laptop and the high-end side-by-side refrigerator will get released later this year, said Samsung.
Samsung had launched the new tablet, dubbed Galaxy Note 10.1(2014 Edition) in Berlin, which was over-shadowed by high profile gadgets - Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
Galaxy Note 10.1 [2014 Edition] sports, super clear LCD display having 2560x1600p resolution and run on new Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS with 3GB RAM and would come with three storage variants - 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. All three variants will house a microSD card slot for additional memory of upto 64GB.
The new tablet will also come in two variants based on network connectivity - one LTE variant with 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor and the other a 3G variant with 1.9GHz Octa-core processor (India is said to come with this chipset). Even though Samsung has confirmed that the new tablet would hit stores by October end, it still remains to be silent on price details.
