Global smartphone leader, Samsung today (29 April) launched the much anticipated camera-centric flagship handset Galaxy K Zoom.
In 2013, Galaxy S4 Zoom featured a bulky body with awkward bumps on the rear-side. Now the company has come with a completely re-designed Galaxy K Zoom, which flaunts a compact body with slimmer bezel and the circular bump formed by the retractable camera-module is greatly reduced compared to its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy K Zoom's USP is its camera, which boasts of standard point-and-shoot digital camera features like 20.0-megapixel camera with ½.3 BSI CMOS sensor, 10 x optical zoom, OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer), AF assisted LED, 24-240 mm, F3.1-6.3 and on the front side, it houses a 2.0-megapixel camera.
The smartphone also comes loaded with value-added camera applications such as AF/AE Separation (Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure Separation) for the precise balance of light and clarity, whereas the 'Pro Suggest' mode offers 5 optimized filter settings and an interesting app- 'Selfie Alarm' which enables users to take timed selfies with ease, and also capture a focused shot of a moving subject.
Other stipulated specifications of Galaxy K Zoom include 4.8-inch HD (720x1280p) super AMOLED display, Android v4.4 KitKat OS, Hexa-core (1.3GHz quad-cores + 1.7GHz dual-cores), 2GB RAM, 8GB (expandable up to 64GB) and a 2,430 mAh battery with Ultra saving mode.

"The new Galaxy K zoom empowers users to effortlessly capture and share their most important everyday moments in stunning clarity, with the convenience and connectedness of a Galaxy smartphone, for a unique, all-in-one mobile experience," he added.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy K Zoom initially in select Asian, and will roll out the device to the European markets next month. But the details regarding the device's price is still under wraps.
