Samsung's mid-range smartphone the Galaxy J5 (2016) Black Edition has been released in France. The device is currently available on Amazon France for €284.68 (around $325).
The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) was first released in China on March 29 along with the Galaxy J7 (2016) before they were launched in South Korea a month later. The Galaxy J5 (2016) is currently available in its home country for 290,000 Won (around $254), and the Galaxy J7 (2016) is priced at 363,000 Won (around $318).
The Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a metal frame like the Galaxy J7 (2016). It sports a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (282 ppi pixel density), and measures 145.8x72.3x8.1 mm in dimension.
Under the hood, the device has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, an Android 5.1 Lollipop, a 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and a 2GB RAM. It also has a 13MP main camera with features like f/1.9 aperture, 28mm, autofocus and LED flash, a 5MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, and a 3,100mAh battery.
The South Korean electronics giant is expected to release the Galaxy J5 (2016) and the Galaxy J7 (2016) in Europe and India very soon.
