Samsung has unveiled two more devices from the J-series – the Galaxy J2 (2016) and Galaxy J Max -- in India, and they are scheduled to be released into the market later this month. It came after the release of 2016 versions of the Galaxy J1, Galaxy J3, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7.

The South Korean electronics giant has put the price of the Galaxy J2 (2016) at Rs. 9,750, which means it will have to take on several devices, including the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), which is priced at Rs. 8,990, and the Meizu M3 Note at Rs. 9,999.

Display

Both the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) and Galaxy J3 (2016) sport a 5-inch super AMOLED HD display with 1,280x720 pixels (293 ppi pixel density), while the Meizu M3 Note boasts of a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density).

Processor

The Meizu M3 Note is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, compared to Spreadtrum quad-core seen in the Galaxy J2 (2016), and Spreadtrum SC8830 in Galaxy J3 (2016).

Operating System

The Galaxy J2 (2016) runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, while the Meizu M3 Note and Galaxy J3 (2016) run Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Storage & RAM

The Meizu M3 Note comes packed with a 16/32GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and a 2/3GB RAM. The Galaxy J3 (2016) has an 8GB/16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and a 1.5GB RAM, while the Galaxy J2 (2016) features an 8GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB) and 1.5 RAM.

Camera

The Meizu M3 Note has a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and dual tone LED flash and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, whereas the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) and Galaxy J3 (2016) house an 8MP main camera LED flash, autofocus and f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.2 aperture.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) and Galaxy J3 (2016) are powered by a 2,600mAh battery, but the Meizu M3 Note has a 4,100mAh battery.

Conclusion

The Meizu M3 Note is unmatched as far as specifications are concerned. It is superior in almost all departments with bigger screen and sharper image, better processor, storage, camera and battery.
