Samsung is not willing to reveal any detail about its upcoming budget smartphone, the Galaxy J2 (2016), but it appears like it's not far away before hitting the stores. Now, images of the purported device have been leaked.
The South Korean technology giant is expected to launch the Galaxy J2 (2016) in July before the release of the Galaxy Note 7, which is expected to see the light of the day in August. A Samsung handset codenamed SM-J210F, which is believed to be the Galaxy J2 (2016), has been cleared by Bluetooth and the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), giving a clear hint that its release is not far off. It has also been spotted on Zauba, a website that keeps track of imports and exports in India, with a price tag of Rs. 6,757 (actual price is expected to be different).
Interestingly, alleged images of the Galaxy J2 (2016) with Smart Glow notification feature have surfaced online. Pictures tweeted by Roland Quandt (via SamMobile) have revealed the front and the rear view of the device.
Dutch website GalaxyClub earlier reported that the Galaxy J2 (2016) may have a feature called Smart Glow that would help users track battery, data and storage by display of different colours.
The device codenamed SM-J210F (Galaxy J2 (2016) is expected to sport a 5-inch display and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. According to AnTuTu benchmarking site, the device would have a 720x1,080 pixel screen resolution, Spreadtrum SC8830 quad-core SoC processor, 16GB internal memory, 2GB RAM, 8MP main camera, and a 5MP front-snapper.
