Before Samsung could officially launch the new Galaxy J1 Ace, an Indian smartphone vendor has revealed the price of the device.
Mumbai based Mahesh Telecom (via Facebook) has claimed that the new Galaxy J1 Ace will cost ₹6,400 and is also available for purchase in its store. The new entry-level smartphone is an advanced variant of the Galaxy J1, which was launched in January.
The Ace model has moderate upgrade over its older sibling and except the improved display and faster CPU, rest of the specification is the same as the original Galaxy J1.
Galaxy J1 Ace sports 4.3-inch super AMOLED FWGA display and runs on the out-dated Android 4.4.4 KitKat backed by 1.3GHz dual-core SoC (System on Chip), 512MB RAM and 4GB storage. It also houses 5MP camera, 2MP front-snapper and a 1800 mAh battery.
Competition:
Considering the Galaxy J1's sub-par specification list, it will face stiff challenge from Chinese and Indian brands such as Xiaomi Redmi 2, YU Yuphoria, Micromax Canvas Xperia 2, Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen (3G) and others, which offer much superior features for a far less price-tag.
