Samsung in a tactical measure to step up the competition with Micromax, Karbonn Mobiles and other domestic manufacturers, has released the affordable quad-core Galaxy Win a.k.a Galaxy Grand Quattro smartphone into the Indian market on Tuesday.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro sports a 4.7-inch TFT WVGA screen with 480x800p display resolution and runs on the Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex-A5 quad-core processor with Adreno 203 graphics engine.

The new Galaxy smartphone also packs 1GB, 8GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card and it also houses a 5.0-megapixel main camera with auto-focus, LED flash support and a 0.3-megapixel VGA camera on the front side.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Win (Galaxy Grand Quattro) in South Korea back in April this year.

Considering the specs and the international brand on its head, Galaxy Grand Quattro is sure to hit hard on the sales of Indian made Micromax A116 Canvas HD, Karbonn's Titanium S5, Xolo Q700, Q800 and others.

Galaxy Grand Quattro is now available at Samsung's official e-store for ₹16,900, whereas popular online shopping mart Flipkart is offering the same for ₹16,570 with EMI (Easy Monthly Installments) options. Also, Spice owned Saholic.com is selling the new Galaxy smartphone for ₹16,750.
