Specifications of Samsung's upcoming mid-range phone Galaxy Grand Neo have been leaked, just a month ahead of its rumored debut.
Technology blog GSMArena, with the help of an anonymous tipster, has got hold of a Samsung document containing the press shot, as well as the spec details, of the speculated Galaxy Grand Neo.
According to the leaked document, the device's curvy body contour looks identical to the recently launched Galaxy Grand 2 but the specifications seem to be stripped down, probably to keep the price on the lower side. It reportedly sports a 5.0-inch WVGA (480x800p) TFT display and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box.
Other key features include 1.2GHz quad-core processor (A7), 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (with options for expansion), 5.0-megapixel main camera, VGA (0.3-megapixel) snapper on the front and a 2100 mAh battery.
The website claims the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo would cost €299 without contract, around ₹25,275 in terms of Indian denomination. However, considering the specifications, the device's price tag looks a little steep for the Indian market, which is home to several cheap Android smartphones that boast high-end features for a much lesser price.
The Samsung smartphone is rumoured to debut in the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2014 event, Barcelona which is scheduled to kick-off on 24 February.
As of now, Samsung is yet to respond to the rumours. So till then this report will remain as a speculation.
