Smartphone leader Samsung has pushed a new update to the Gear Manager application that enables all notifications from the connected smartphone to appear on the smartwatch screen.
Initially, Galaxy Gear was panned by critics for its limited use and for its compatible issues as the smartwatch can be synced only with a few Samsung devices. Now, with the new update to the 'Gear Manager', Samsung smartwatch owners can directly receive message from any social network apps such as Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and even Gmail on their smart wristwatch, They will also be able to select the app of their choice to get notifications on their watch.
The new software [15.87MB] is available at the Samsung Apps store. The firmware works its magic only if the user has installed the previous update (build number: V700XXUAMK7), which was released a few weeks ago, reported SamMobile.
