After expanding the smartphone lineup with its A Series, Samsung is now working on a new line of devices, reportedly tagged under the Galaxy E series. Two handsets in the new lineup are already in the works and full specs have been leaked much ahead of their purported launch. The Samsung Galaxy E7 (SM-E700) and Galaxy E5 (SM-E500) will kick start the new E-series.
SamMobile exclusively revealed the specs of the two new E models soon after sharing details of the anticipated Galaxy A7. There are speculations about the type of material Samsung will use for its new E series. Metal is unlikely because the Galaxy A series already features metallic structure with almost similar hardware specs. If the E series gets metal structuring, there won't be much difference between the two different lineups. The possible release of the new E smartphones is still months away, likely during the MWC in February.
