Samsung is reportedly preparing to release yet another device from its C Series - Galaxy C9. Several details of the device, including a possible release date, specifications and pricing have been leaked over the last few weeks.
Galaxy C9 will be Samsung's third device from the C-family if it comes true. The company launched Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in May, but they are available only in China despite reports that they could be launched in other markets too. So, many may believe that Galaxy C9 too may not come to India and other markets like its siblings. And it won't come as a surprise if it is made exclusive to Chinese market.
It's been reported that Samsung Galaxy C9 will be released either in October or November. A device with model number SM-C9000, believed to be Galaxy C9, has been spotted on Zauba, imports and exports tracking site in India, with a 5.7-inch screen and a price tag of Rs. 23,950 (may change at the time of launch), giving a clear hint that its release is not far off.
SamMobile had earlier reported citing an insider that the South Korean technology giant is working on a device codenamed "Amy" with model number SM-C9000, which will be called Galaxy C9. The codename is in sync with the one seen on Zauba, but contradicts in screen size. The report claimed that the upcoming device will sport a 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display as seen in Galaxy A9, and share several features with Galaxy C5.
It may be mentioned that Galaxy C5 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1,920×1,080 pixels, powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. It features a 32/64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), a 4GB RAM, a 16MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture, and a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
