Samsung is keeping mum, but reports are doing the rounds that it is floating a new product line called Galaxy C, with the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 touted to be first to come out from the series. Now, it appears like the Galaxy C5 will be released first as hype around it has gained momentum of late.
The South Korean technology giant is yet to announce the existence of C series, forget about release dates of devices from the line, but SamMobile China (via SamMobile) has reported that the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 could be released in May. It went on to say that these devices might fall between Samsung's budget and high-end smartphones.
Interestingly, more pictures of the purported Samsung Galaxy C5 have been leaked by MyDrivers (via GSM Arena), and it looks like the ones published by France website NoWhereElse. The new pictures also confirmed a metal body.
NoWhereElse has earlier published a few pictures of the Galaxy C5 with metal body. The device is seen with model number SM-C5000.
The device (model number SM-C5000) with 5.2-inch screen has been spotted on Zauba, a website that tracks imports and exports in India, giving a hint that it could be released outside the Chinese market. According to Geekbench benchmark, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC processor clocking at 1.5GHz, run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, house Adreno 405 GPU and come packed with a 4GB RAM.
