Samsung Galaxy Alpha A5, A3 Snapshots Leak Online Ahead of Launch; Smartphones Flaunt Metal Chassis

Samsung's eagerly awaited mid-range metal-clad Galaxy Alpha A5, A3 series smartphone snapshots have surfaced online ahead of launch, which is slated to happen later this month.

Twitter spy, Android Mexico, has leaked an image showing the flagship model Galaxy Alpha in between the alleged Galaxy Alpha series A5 (left side) and A3 (right side).

In the picture, both the models are seen flaunting the trademark, shiny metal frame around the edges and also square camera module with LED flash on the left. The only anomaly is the presence of small black square dip on the right side.

The angle and the distance at which the photo has been taken inhibit us to confirm what it, really is. Only logical guess, we can come up is that, it might be a speaker grill.

According to previous reports, Galaxy Alpha A5 is expected to feature a 5.0-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 400 series CPU, 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel camera on the front and a 3,200 mAh battery.

The most affordable Galaxy Alpha phone, A3 will sport a 4.8-inch qHD (960x540p) screen, Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, Adreno 306 GPU, 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear-side and a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front.

Alpha A3 is expected to fall in the mid-range with price ranging between $350 and $400 (around €275-315/₹22,500- 24,500), whereas the A5 is said to be priced at $400 (more than €315/₹25,000).

Besides Galaxy A5 and A3, Samsung is also said to launch an upper-midrange phone A7 with an expected price range between $450 and $500 (around €353-€392/ ₹28,000-31,000). Unlike other two Alpha models, A7 will be released in select regions, so that it does not cannibalise its premium brethren, Galaxy Alpha sales.

All three Galaxy Alpha A-series devices are expected to debut by the end of third Quarter, 2014 (around late September or early October).
