Last week, Samsung launched the flagship Galaxy Note7 in India. Now, the company is reportedly prepping groundwork to release affordable mid-range phablet in the country soon.
Samsung is planning to launch a "Pro" series device with a massive 5,000mAh battery in September, FoneArena reported, citing a company insider.
The tipster also added that it will come with a price-tag of around Rs. 35,000, but refrained from revealing the moniker of the device. If we go by the cell capacity, the mystery handset has to be the Galaxy A9 Pro, as it is the only Samsung phone to boast that specification.
Furthermore, Galaxy A9 Pro, which is already available in China and Malaysia, retails in the same price-range. It costs ¥3,499 Yuan (around $540/Rs. 35,800).
Previously, the Galaxy A9 Pro was rumoured to get launched along with Galaxy Note7 on Aug. 11, but it never materialised. Now, it looks like the phablet will finally hit Indian stores next month.
The Galaxy A9 Pro features a full metal cover on the back, a 6.0-inch full HD super AMOLED screen on the front, Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8976) 652 octa-core, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 16MP primary camera and an 8MP front snapper.
With feature-rich hardware, the Galaxy A9 Pro will aptly act as an affordable alternative to the Galaxy Note7, which costs a whopping Rs. 59,900 in India.
Stay tuned for more updates.
