Hype around the Samsung Galaxy A8 is slowly building up with its release date drawing close. Several details, including specifications and price have been leaked, and now, it has reached India for testing, giving a clear indication that launch is imminent.
The Galaxy A8, successor to Galaxy A7, is expected to be released on 17 July. It has already been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Chinese telecommunications governing body TENAA, paving the way for its launch.
Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy A8 with model number SM-A800F has been spotted on Zauba, a website that tracks India's imports and exports data, with a price tag of ₹16,223 (official price expected to be different).
The device with a 5.7-inch screen has been sent from South Korea to Delhi, India for testing.
Samsung is yet to announce the features of the Galaxy A8 but GSM Arena has claimed that one of its readers had spotted an image of a device believed to be Samsung Galaxy A8 in a brochure in South Korea.
According to the image forwarded to the website, the device weighing 141g comes with a dimension of 158 × 76.8 × 5.9 mm, sports a 143.9mm (5.66-inch) FHD Super AMOLED screen, powered by Octa Core (Quad 1.8 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz) processor and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The device also has features like 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 2G B RAM, 3,050mAh battery, LTE Cat. 6 with VoLTE, DMB, and 16 MP main camera and 5 MP front snapper.
According to the TENAA listing, the Galaxy A8 might weigh 142g, have 158 × 76.77 × 5.94 mm dimension, sport a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with 1920×1080 resolution, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, come packed with 16 GB of internal memory expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card, 2 GB RAM, house a 16 MP main camera and 5 MP front snapper.
