The long-rumoured Samsung Galaxy A8 will finally see the light of the day next week.
French technology blog NoWhereElse has claimed that Samsung is all set to launch its Galaxy A8 in China on 17 July. Sources have also tipped that the mid-range smartphone will be priced around €439 ($485/₹30,800).
The Galaxy A8 is understood to be the successor to Galaxy A7 will metal-frame around the edges and sports a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display on the front.
Under the hood, it is expected to ship with Android Lollipop OS, 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 3050 mAh battery and 4-LTE connectivity.
A key upgrade over the Galaxy A7 is that the Galaxy A8 will boast of a finger-print sensor on the home button. It will also house feature-rich 16mp main camera with ISOCELL sensor, f/1.9 aperture and HDR. Both these specifications are said to be on par with the current flagship smartphone Galaxy S6 (& S6 Edge).
Another aspect of the Samsung Galaxy A8 is that it will flaunt sleek figure measuring just 5.94mm thickness, making it the slimmest Samsung phone till date.
