After releasing the Android Marshmallow to the Galaxy A7 (1st Gen), Samsung has extended the software update roll-out for the Galaxy A8 (2015) in India.
As of now, Marshmallow OS is seeding only to the dual-SIM-based Galaxy A8 (SM-A800FZ) model. It weighs around 800MB in size, SamMobile reported.
Android Marshmallow comes with brings the Doze battery optimisation feature, improved 'Now on Tap' search option, support for more international dialects, silent mode to the sound profile, a do-not-disturb option, performance-enhancing optimisations, enhanced boot security system, and many more.

In a related development, Samsung is expected release the latest Android Nougat update to its flagship phones—Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
The company has already commenced testing the software on them. Based on previous release patterns, Galaxy S7 series owners can expect to get the update notification by this month end or early November.

How to install OTA update on Android phone:
1. From the home screen, tap Settings
2. Scroll down to "System," and then tap About device.
3. Tap Download updates manually.
4. Tap OK.
5. Tap Start.
6. A restart message will appear, tap OK.
Since the OTA update is being carried out in phases, it will take a few days to reach all the corners of the country.

Users can also check for the update manually by going to Settings >> About Phone >> System update.
