Samsung on Monday, Feb. 15, launched 2016 models of the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in India on Monday, a few days after their announcement.
The 4G-enabled Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) were unveiled in December, but were available only in China till now. They were announced in India on Feb. 14 before officially releasing on Feb. 15.
Price and availability
The devices come in gold, black and white colours. The Galaxy A7 (2016) comes with a price tag of Rs 33,400, while the Galaxy A5 (2016) is priced at Rs 29,400, and they will be available online via Snapdeal besides offline stores within two days.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) sports a 5.2-inch full HD Super-AMOLED display with 1,080x1,920 pixel (424 ppi pixel density) resolution. Under the hood, it has by an octa-core processor clocking 1.6 GHz, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 2GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/1.9 and OIS, a 5MP front-snapper and a non-removable Li-Ion 2,900mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A7 (2016) sports a 5.5-inch full-HD Super-AMOLED display with 1,080x1,920 pixel (401 ppi pixel density) resolution, powered by an octa-core processor clocking 1.6GHz and running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It comes packed with 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 3GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/1.9 and OIS, a 5MP front-snapper and a non-removable Li-Ion 3,300 mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity and add-ons, the devices share features like fingerprint scanner, Samsung Pay with MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission), NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, Samsung KNOX, S-Voice, Dual SIM option and 4G-LTE (Cat 6) with up to 300 Mbps download speed.
