Samsung had released Galaxy A3 in December 2014 before launching its upgraded version, Galaxy A3 (2016), a year later. It is now reportedly planning to release another device from the same line - Galaxy A3 (2017).
The South Korean technology giant is yet to reveal the release date of Galaxy A3 (2017), but it is expected to happen before the end of this year.
The original Galaxy A3 and A3 (2016) were released in December, so the upcoming device from Samsung is expected to come at around the same time this year.
It has also been reported that Samsung is planning to release the 2017 versions of Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 with model numbers SM-A320F, SM-A520F and SM-A720F, respectively.
According to GFXBench, Galaxy A3 (2017) will sport a 4.7-inch touchscreen with 1,280x720 resolution, octa-core CPU clocking at 1.5GHz, ARM Mali-T830 GPU and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is expected to have an 8GB internal memory, 3GB RAM, 12MP main camera and 8MP front-snapper.
The device is also expected to come with features like accelerometer, barometer, Bluetooth, compass, GPS, gyroscope, light sensor, NFC, pedometer, Wi-Fi and proximity sensor.
It may be mentioned that Galaxy A3 (2016) was released in December 2015. It sports a 4.7-inch Super-AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels (312 ppi pixel density), Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It also features a 16GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 1.5GB RAM, 13MP main camera, 5MP front-snapper and 2,300mAh battery.
