Samsung is reportedly set to release the metal and glass-bodied Galaxy A3 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) in the United Kingdom, more than four months after they were released in the home country. The 2016 version of the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 were released in South Korea in December last year.
A report by TalkAndroid (via SamMobile) has claimed Samsung is releasing the Galaxy A3 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) on Thursday. It was reported in January that the devices were up for pre-order in the U.K. and Germany but had not been released. The Galaxy A3 (2016) was spotted with a price tag of £269, and the Galaxy A5 (2016) was available for £319.
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) sports a 4.7-inch Super-AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels (312 ppi pixel density), and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocking 1.5 GHz. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The device comes packed with 16GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 1.5GB RAM, a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front-snapper and a non-removable Li-Ion 2,300mAh battery.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) sports a 5.2-inch Super-AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (424 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has an octa-core processor clocking 1.6 GHz, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 16GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 2GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/1.9 and OIS, a 5MP front-snapper and a non-removable Li-Ion 2,900mAh battery.
