Samsung Flagship Galaxy S5 Mini Models Lands in India for Testing; to Feature 4.47-inch Display

Samsung's long rumoured Galaxy S5 Mini has reportedly landed in India for testing confirming the existence of the company's flagship compact smartphone.

The alleged Galaxy S5 Mini has been spotted (courtesy, technology blog- samsunggalaxys5abonnement) at Zauba.com, an Indian based export-import logistic company.

In the website, Samsung devices codenamed- SM-G800F and SM-G800H was imported from South Korea to India (Bangalore and Delhi). On further observation in the description column, we see that the handsets are sample models sent for R&D purposes and come with display size - 4.47-inch, slightly bigger than its predecessor Galaxy S4 Mini (it had 4.3-inch screen).

In April, Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini specifications got leaked in to the media. It is said that the device will have super AMOLED HD (1280x720p) and ship with Android v4.4 KitKat OS powered by a Snapdragon processor (probably a 400 series quad-core CPU), 1.5GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 8.0-megapixel camera, 2.0-megapixel front camera and 2,100 mAh battery.

Later in the same month (April), New Zealand arm of the company accidentally revealed that the upcoming Samsung compact flagship phone will boast water-and-dust repellant IP67 certification like the elder sibling Galaxy S5.

The company's official product support website detailing the warranty information of the Samsung's water-proof devices had named the yet-to-be released Galaxy S5 Mini along with Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 Active.

Word on the street is that the Galaxy S5 Mini is expected to make its debut in June, almost an year after Galaxy S4 Mini made its debut .(It was launched on 31 May 2013, but it was released to the market in July).
