South Korean Electronics major Samsung launched the much awaited touch-enabled ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro. The company also released two Ultrabooks of series 5 and 9 in the Indian market.
"Our smart devices like the ATIV Smart PC and the other Windows 8-powered notebooks are designed to deliver seamless user experience... We have 10 percent share of the notebook market in India and by next year, we are targeting 12 per cent," said Jin Park, Samsung Electronics vice president (IT Solutions), as reported in Times Of India.
The star attraction of the launch was the ATIV Smart PC; the new smart tablet features a 10-finger multi touch sensitive screen, where users can pinch to zoom, rotate images and scroll through pages on the screen.

Both the tablet PCs have touch-sensitive screens with detachable keyboards; users can detach the keyboard and use the 11.6-inch screen as a tablet.
The Smart tablet PCs were globally unveiled in August this year at an annual electronic exhibition IFA 2012 (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) in Germany.
The company also launched two Ultrabooks, one in the series 5 and another in the series 9 line of portable Ultrabooks.
The 13.3-inch Series 5 Ultrabook comes with the third-generation Intel Core i7 processor with 12GB system memory and 500GB HDD storage. The Ultrabook is priced at Rs. 64,990.
The 15-inch Series 9 Ultrabook runs on the AMD Quad Core processor and is priced at Rs. 43, 990, reports TOI.
The prices of tablet PCs and Ultrabooks will vary with local tax policies.
