There has been a lot of buzz about Gautham Menon's upcoming movie, especially after the release of his latest Ajith movie, "Yennai Arindhaal". The director, who has been recently busy with his upcoming Tamil movie, "Accham Yenbathu Madamaiyyada", starring Simbu, is now set for the shooting of its Telugu remake.
According to reports, the shooting of the Telugu movie will kick-start soon and the rumours are that Gautham Menon has confirmed Naga Chaithanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to play the lead. The duo has earlier worked together with Gautham Menon for 2010 Telugu movie "Ye Maaya Chesave" which was the remake of Tamil film "Vinnaithanaandi Veruvaya".
Interestingly, both Tamil and Telugu versions were shot simultaneously with different star cast and climax.
"Ye Maaya Chesava" had also won innumerable awards that year, which includes three Nandi Awards besides three awards and six nominations for Filmfare Awards South and four CineMAA Awards.
Meanwhile, "Accham Enbadhu Madamaiyada" faced troubles when its lead heroine, Pallavi Subhash, backed out of the movie. The shooting of this Tamil flick had begun in 2014, but was later delayed when Gautham proceeded with the shooting of Ajith movie "Yennai Arindhaal". Being an ardent Ajith fan, Simbu was more than happy to reschedule his date for Gautham movie.
When Gautham recently resumed the shooting of "Accham Enbadhu Madamaiyada", Pallavi couldn't schedule herself for the film and thereby had to back out of the film.
"I was really excited about being part of Gautham sir's project and I'm grateful to them for having thought of casting me in that role. It would have been a dream launch for me, definitely. We started the project in October 2013 and launched a promo in February 2014. Post that, things took a different turn," Pallavi told The Times of India.
"There was a delay and they started a new project ("Yennai Arindhaal") — it is absolutely up to them to decide on which project had to be finished first and I'm completely fine with that as it is their decision — but I was waiting for quite a while. Then, I had committed my dates to a TV show after waiting for one-and-a-half years. So, when they started this project again, I couldn't give them the dates they wanted. So, it was completely a mutual decision to part ways," added the actress.
Now the rumours also suggest that Gautham is also considering Samantha to play the lead in Tamil versions as well. However, official confirmation is awaited from the sources close to both the movies regarding the star cast.
