Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is set to tie the knot with Naga Chaitanya, is rumoured to have converted to Hinduism at a ceremony held recently in Akkineni Nagarjuna's residence.
A lot has been spoken and written about Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's love affair, engagement and marriage. Of late, the social media is abuzz with news about the actress converting to Hinduism. The speculations were being made after few photos performing a pooja with her beau Naga Chaitanya emerged on the social media. There are two photos of the couple that have gone viral on the net.
In one of the two photos, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, who are sitting on the floor are seen beaming with joy. Another picture features the couple posing with Akkineni Nagarjuna and Samantha is seen sporting tilakam. Both the images feature some Purohits (priests) in the background.
Both Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have made it clear that they would enter the wedlock in 2016. If we are to go by the latest reports, the couple will have two wedding ceremonies. They are said to marry first as per Christian tradition in Chennai first. Later, they will tie the knot again as per Hindu traditions in Hyderabad.
Samantha was born to a Malayali mother Ninette and a Telugu father Prabhu and she has been brought up in Pallavaram in Chennai. She is the youngest child of the family and she has two elder brothers Jonathan and David. The actress completed her primary education from Holy Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School and then completed a degree in commerce at Stella Maris College, Chennai.
