It is official. Samantha has been signed to play the female lead in Sivakarthikeyan's next movie, which will be directed by Ponram. This is for the first time the actress is teaming up with the hero.
"Welcome on board @Samanthaprabhu2for our Production number:4 with @Siva_Kartikeyan and @ponramVVS [sic]," 24AM Studios, the producer of the film, tweeted. Samantha was quick to respond and posted, "Thankyouu. Glad to be on board. [sic]"
Sivakarthikeyan and Ponram are collaborating for the third time after "Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam" and "Rajini Murugan." Sri Divya and Keerthy Suresh had played female leads in those films.
The latest project is an action film targeted at the masses, say reports. Soori is part of the flick and other cast and crew members are yet to be revealed. Expectations are high as their earlier films were hits at the box office.
Currently, Sivakarthikeyan is getting ready for the release of his next film "Remo," which will hit screens on Oct. 7. He will be soon starting Mohan Raja aka Jayam Raja's next flick. On the other hand, Samantha is busy with her Telugu project "Janatha Garage," which stars Junior NTR in the lead role.
