Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined the elite club of South Indian celebrities such as Trisha Krishnan, Shruti Haasan, Siddhartha, Rajinikanth, Dhanush and Mahesh Babu.
Yes! You guessed it right! Samantha has one million followers on her Twitter account. She is the latest South Indian actress to achieve this feat.
Her fan following crossed the 1 million mark on 3 January. Coincidentally, a couple of days after this, she announced her split from her long time boyfriend Siddhartha.
On 4 January, the elated Samantha took to her Twitter handle to share her excitement. The actress tweeted: "Thank you for all the love. One million followers. Wowww. And I hardly ever make any sense here. Muah. Time to pretend to be smart."
Earlier, seven South Indian stars Rajinikanth, Siddhartha, Dhanush, Mahesh Babu, Genelia D'souza, Shruti Haasan, Trisha and AR Rahman were in the elite club of people, who have over one million followers on Twitter. Samantha has become the ninth South Indian film celebrity to enter the list.
Actress Hansika Motwani, who has over 985,000 Twitter followers is soon going to be the 10th member in this elite club. Following her closely on heels is ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who has over 955,000 fans. He is expected to be the 11th member in the club.
