As India celebrates the 69th Independence Day, people across the country are on a spree of sharing their 'Salute Selfie' on social media.
A Reliance Group initiative, #SaluteSelfie is a social media campaign that aims at supporting and expressing gratitude towards the Indian Armed Forces. Within no time of its launch, it started trending on social media.
From commoners, B-Town celebs to sports personalities, all have shared their #SaluteSelfie on social media. Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, MS Dhoni, Priyanka Chopra, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others have posted their #SaluteSelfie online.
Recently, TV actors also honoured the members of the Indian Armed Forces through entertainment portal Telly Masala.
In the video, Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" dedicated her #SaluteSelfie to those Indian citizens who have fought against corruption.
TV couple Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi and "Manmarziyan" co-stars Monika Sehgal and Shravan Reddy too offered their #SaluteSelfie to all the Indian Army who protects the nation.
Divyanka's ex-boyfriend SSharad Malhotra, who plays Maharana Pratap in "Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap", dedicated his #SaluteSelfie to the freedom fighters who brought freedom and peace to the nation.
