Salman Khan has been under the scanner ever since a video showing his digitally improved torso resurfaced. Angry fans too began a campaign on Twitter using #BodybuildingICONSalman.
And now, Khan on "Bigg Boss 8" took a dig at arch rival Shah Rukh Khan. "Shah Rukh, Hrithik and Aamir have been removing their shirts because they have abs. But soon I will have abs and they won't," Bollywood Life quoted the actor.
The video, uploaded by Tata Elixes, revealed how Salman's flabby ab in "Ek Tha Tiger" was transformed into a rock solid contour using special effects. After the news of Salman's fake abs made the headlines, the short clip was removed by the uploader.
Revealing the reason why the video was uploaded, a 23 September Mumbai Mirror report stated that it was done by a "disgruntled" ex-employee.
"Salman was shocked that the film's director, Kabir Khan, had edited out his shirtless shot. The actor called up the producer and said that if it wasn't incorporated, his fans would be disappointed and Brand Salman would take a beating. And that was the reason why the computer graphics came into play," the publication quoted a company insider.
However, Kabir Khan, director of "Ek Tha Tiger", rubbished the rumours and tweeted, "The Mumbai Mirror story on Salman's abs is rubbish... somebody's imagination is in overdrive..."
Salman, who will be next seen in Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", apparently promised his many fans that he will go shirtless soon and do sword-fencing.
"I was training very hard for Kick. The advantage of Kick was that as soon as I finished the climax ofJai Ho, I dived straight into this film and it got over in three and a half to four months. As soon as I left the training, I realised Prem Ratan Dhan Payohas the same kind of fitness level, it has me bare chested, I am doing some sword fencing, so I just got a two week break and now am back on to that training again," BL quoted the actor.
