Superstar Salman Khan is set to entertain his fans this Eid with his upcoming movie Tubelight. Salman's last movie, Sultan, was a blockbuster hit and the upcoming Kabir Khan-directorial also looks promising. The movie is set to be released on June 25.
The film features popular Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and the movie is set against the backdrop of 1962 Sino-Indian War which India lost. So the question whether the movie will be released in China remains.
Though Shah Rukh Khan's Raees featured Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, the movie was banned in the neighbouring country. However, earlier, there were reports that Raees will have a grand release in Pakistan. The film portrayed Islam and a particular Muslim sector in a negative light was the reason cited for the ban.
According to Deccan Chronicle, Sohail Khan plays Salman's brother in the film, who is part of the Kumaon Battalion.
Salman, who plays a simple and innocent boy in the film, vows to bring his lost brother back. The Sino-Indian war was short-lived and ended with a ceasefire declared by China.
Speculations are rife that the film might not be released in China. However, if it does get a China release, do you think it will win hearts like Aamir Khan's Dangal? Aamir has a huge fan following in China and his movies always do good business in the dragon country.
Now, Tubelight might not hit the screens in China. Nevertheless, we think no other superstar's movies can do well in the neighbouring country like Aamir's, so beating him in this platform is quite difficult.
