Salman Khan's "Sultan" is one of the most awaited flicks of next year, and much speculation has been made regarding the film's lead actress and the complete cast.
While different actresses are being rumoured to be seen as Salman's heroine in the film, full confirmation on the movie's leading lady will be made only in January next year.
"Sultan" director Ali Abbas Zafar has said the lead actress of the Salman-starrer will not have much screen presence, and thus most of the scenes are being shot without her.
He also said the official announcement on the film's lead actress will be made early next year. "Major portions of 'Sultan' will be shot without the female lead. We will announce the female lead of 'Sultan' by January-end," Catch News quoted Ali as saying.
Earlier, the names of Parineeti Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, among others, were associated with the project. However, there was no official confirmation and Parineeti recently took to Twitter to say she is not a part of the film.
Reports suggest the leading actress of "Sultan" will have some negative shades in the film.
The director also said they are planning to wrap up the shooting by the end of April, the report added.
Salman plays the character of a wrestler from Haryana, and has been training very hard for the role. Apart from intense body-building training, Salman has also been learning martial arts and wrestling tactics.
The film is slated for release on Eid next year.
