The Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli breakup has been all over the news, and it's not going away anytime soon. The latest buzz is, it was Sharma's decision to take up Salman Khan's "Sultan" without informing the sports star that irked him.
Kohli had excused himself from the India-Sri Lanka T-20 series wanting to ring in Valentine's Day with his ladylove (Feb. 14) but because Sharma is neck-deep in work, she won't be able to devote time to her beau, BollywoodLife reports. The couple hasn't been in touch for past three weeks.
Sharma will be rolling out three films (as a producer) this year, one of which may star "Life of Pi" actor Suraj Sharma. Titled "Phillauri", the project is apparently being called a comedy set in a village of Punjab.
Another narrative to this split story claims it was the leading lady's "controlling" nature that made the cricketer feel "cloistered", and hence he walked out. The one preceding this version said Kohli was heartbroken and desperate to win back his love. But from what a source told Mumbai Mirror, the picture is completely different.
"All rumours about Virat trying to woo Anushka back are hogwash. He unfollowed her on Twitter and Instagram and then, uploaded, deleted and reuploaded a photograph of himself, originally captioned, 'Heartbroken'," the insider elaborated.
This isn't the only love story that's charting troubled waters. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif going separate ways raised many eyebrows as the news came few days after they posed pretty for pictures before attending a family lunch. However, none of the couples mentioned have confirmed their current relationship status.
