After the humongous success of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo," the makers of the film have now decided to treat its fans with a mega webisode titled "Memoirs of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo." The webisodes will let the fans watch the making of the film, behind-the-scenes moments and special interviews of Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor.
Directed by filmmaker Vidhi Kasliwal, the webisode was recently released and has the entire cast including Anupam Kher and director Sooraj Barjatya sharing their thoughts regarding the title of the film. It also showcases the special bond between Salman and Barjatya that started with "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989).
"From the time Sooraj ji decided to make his next film, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. We shot day and night and captured very interesting footage. The icing on the cake was that he was working with the one and only Salman Khan again!" IANS quoted Kasliwal as saying.
"My team canned over 250 hours of footage from which I was very keen to produce and direct the digital assets. So what started as a 10-webisode series increased to 21 webisodes, as the response to each asset was phenomenal!" she added.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" featured Salman in a double role and Sonam in the female lead role and was released in November 2015. Besides the lead pair, the film also had Anupam, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli and Swara Bhaskar in key roles. The family drama turned out to be one of the highest grossers of 2015 with over Rs 200 crore domestic box office collections.
Meanwhile, Barjatya and Salman have teamed up again for the filmmaker's next. Salman, who is currently busy shooting for "Sultan," confirmed that he will be working with Barjatya on a new film.
"He's a brother to me. Whoever I am is all because of him. He gave me a great break with Maine Pyar Kiya and people started noticing me since then. Yes, there's a new film on cards because I am always ready to work with him. It's a lifelong contract," Salman had told reporters at the Zee Cine Awards, according to Catch News.
Salman and Sooraj had earlier teamed up for films like "Hum Saath Saath Hain" (1999), "Hum Aapke Hai Koun" (1994) and "Main Pyaar Kiya" (1989).
