Salman Khan's upcoming film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will be a solo release this Diwali as makers of Sunny Deol's "Ghayal Returns" (Ghayal Once Again) have postponed its release date.
"Breaking! @BeingSalmanKhan's #PremRatanDhanPayo to be a solo release this Diwali....as #SunnyDeol's #GhayalOnceAgain postpones its release (sic)", tweeted trade analyst Girish Johar on Friday.
Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is ready to hit screens on 12 November, and earlier reports had suggested that Sunny Deol will also make a comeback with the sequel to "Ghayal" around the same time.
Apparently, the clash has been averted as makers of "Ghayal Returns" have postponed the film's release.
"Ghayal" was released in the year 1990 and was a big hit. Sunny Deol, who has been away from the silver screen for quite a long time, will now attempt to recreate the magic with the sequel to the action flick.
The postponement could also be a smart move on the part of the team of Sunny Deol's comeback film, considering the success of Salman Khan's last film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".
While a lot of buzz has been surrounding "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", with pictures being leaked from the film's sets, not much hype has been seen for "Ghayal Returns". According to reports, shooting of the sequel to "Ghayal" is running smoothly but the makers prefer to keep it under cover.
Meanwhile, Hollywood flick "Spectre" starring Daniel Craig was also supposed to be released on 6 November in India but the release has now been postponed to 20 November, apparently to avoid a clash with Salman's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which also features Sonam Kapoor.
