Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to treat his fans with double releases, with two of his much-awaited movies "Hero" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" set to hit the screens in July.
Bollywood critic and trade expert Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on his Twitter handle.
He wrote: "Eros Intl and Salman Khan Films in association with Mukta Arts have announced the release of #Hero on 3 July 2015. Nikhil Advani directs. #Hero marks the debut of Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. #Hero is produced by Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai."
The other movie "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", is written and directed by "Ek Tha Tiger" fame Kabir Khan and co-produced by Salman Khan and "Lingaa" fame Rockline Venkatesh. The movie is a romance drama and deals with the story of a man and a child. The film features Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is another much-hyped Bollywood movie that is slated to release on 17 July. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Salman Khan will have two film releases in July: #Hero [produced by him with Subhash Ghai] and #BajrangiBhaijaan [directed by Kabir Khan]."
Eros International has bought the distribution rights of "Hero" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". The leading production and distribution company is expected to release both the movies in a record number of theatres across India and international markets.
This year is going to be a landmark one in the acting career of Salman Khan. Apart from "Hero" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", the actor has five other Bollywood movies – "Shhuddhi", "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", "No Entry Mein Entry", "I Am Hariprasad", "Partner 2" and "Sher Khan" – lined up for release this year.
Salman Khan's "Shhuddhi" and "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" are scheduled to hit cinema halls on 31 October and 1 November respectively. The makers of "No Entry Mein Entry", "I Am Hariprasad", "Partner 2" and "Sher Khan" are yet to finalise the release dates.
