Just before her much-talked-about engagement, Priyanka Chopra had made headlines when she decided to walk out of Salman Khan starrer Bharat at the last minute.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar, however, said that the team is not holding any grudges against the Quantico actress and wished her all the best for her future projects. Salman Khan and father Salim Khan had also categorically denied having any bad blood with Priyanka. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, Salman Khan's former manager Reshma Shetty influenced Priyanka to quit Bharat.
"Team Reshma Shetty made her understand – it didn't take too long – that the film no longer belonged to her 'league' with the addition of certain names to the cast. Considering PeeCee was all set to make her comeback into Hindi films with Bharat, the talent management agency didn't want her to falter," a source was quoted as saying by Spotboye.
It was also being said that Priyanka was not ready to share Bharat poster with Baaghi 2 actress Disha. She was supposed to sport five different looks and considering her role in Bharat, she reportedly placed a demand of having solo posters like that of the film's lead actor Salman Khan. The film also stars Dilbar Dilbar song fame Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover.
"The casting did not pan out as envisaged and Priyanka immediately called Ali to tell him about her concerns. The rest, as they say, is history," the source added.
Reshma had worked with Salman for around nine years, but they parted ways for various reasons. Some reports had claimed that the superstar had decided to get rid of Reshma and her PR agency after she started to create issues between Salman and his family. It was also reported that Reshma had gone too far in her professional decisions and once did not let Salman attend brother Sohail Khan's comedy show on television.
However, the question still remains whether Priyanka Chopra's decision of quitting Salman Khan's Bharat came after Reshma Shetty's suggestions? Only time will tell.
