Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" has set new records at the Indian box office with Monday's figures amounting approximately to ₹1.3 billion leaving behind "Ra.One" at ₹1.15 billion and "Agneepath" with ₹1.2 billion.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie created a box office record after racking up $1 billion on Monday.
The movie is not only attracting film audiences in India, but also breaking records in the overseas market. The film has opened bigger than his previous Salman's previous movie "Bodyguard", and is the actor's biggest opener ever in the overseas market.
For Yash Raj Productions this is the first film that has crossed the ₹1 billion mark at the box office, while for Salman this is his fourth movie to hit the mark.

With the pace at which the movie is breaking records, trade analysts are expecting the movie to cross ₹2 billion, leaving behind "Bodyguard" at approximately ₹1.5 billion and "3 Idiots" which is on the top position with ₹2 billion.
