Salman Khan's favourite time of the year to release his films has been Eid, and so he blocks the auspicious weekend in advance.
According to a Bollywood Life report, the superstar has sealed "Dabangg 3" release date, and it's Eid 2017.
In other news, the third instalment of the successful franchise is still in its nascent stage and a script needs to be ideated soon.
"It ('Dabangg 3′) is in talks. Salman and I will sit sometime when he is through with his movies and all. We will ideate on the script and it may take one or two years," Arbaaz Khan told IANS a few months ago.
The actor-director-producer further elaborated how he might give up the director's seat to be filled by someone else. "As of now only that department is open... maybe somebody else might direct 'Dabangg 3′ but only I will produce it and nobody else. That's our own franchise," he elaborated.
However, the news of "Dabangg 3" release date is under speculation as an official confirmation hasn't been made yet. But, if it were true, the film would possibly be another hit as festive season has always worked wonders for the suave star.
In other news, this year he has Kabir Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" lined up for release on Eid. He will also be seen essaying the role of a prince and a commoner in Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and fight it out in Yash Raj Films' "Sultan".
