Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" turned out to be one of this year's biggest blockbusters, but the director has no plans of making a sequel. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" director Kabir Khan has said that there will not be any sequel to the movie as he does not believe in making sequels.
"No, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' sequel is not happening. I never make sequels of my films. But if the script of a film really excites me, then never say never. Some characters become iconic. 'Bajrangi' is an iconic character, so is 'Chand Nawab'. So let's see. But sequels don't excite me. So, I don't believe in sequels," Kabir Khan told PTI.
Kabir Khan also said that he has been discussing ideas and scripts for his next film and is yet to finalise the cast. The movie, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", was based on the story of an Indian man, played by Salman, and a Pakistani mute girl, played by Harshaali Malhotra. The girl accidentally gets separated from her family and eventually gets lost in India. Then, Salman takes many risks to get her back to her family in Pakistan.
The movie performed brilliantly at the worldwide box office and was liked by both the audience and the critics. The film was highly praised in Pakistan as well. Salman is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie "Sultan", which is slated to be released on Eid next year. The actor will be seen playing the role of a wrestler from Haryana in the film.
