A former diet consultant of Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Friday filed a harassment case against a man who she claims to be the superstar's relative.
The 25-year-old food and health expert stated that the accused, Abdulla Mirza Khan, started harassing and threatening her after she rejected his marriage proposal.
"After I rejected his marriage proposal, he started threatening me. He said he would not let me survive in the city and would spoil my image. As I was scared, I changed apartments. However, he would come to the new building and abuse me," Mid-Day quoted the girl as saying.
The girl said that she met the accused in 2014 at Salman Khan's Bandra residence, when she was working as the "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor's diet consultant. However, Salman Khan's close relatives reportedly denied having any relative by that name.
The complainant also added that the accused hacked her Instagram and Facebook accounts to harm her reputation.
Meanwhile, Police have started searching for the accused who has been booked under Sections 354 (D) (any man who follows a woman and contacts, or attempts to contact such woman to foster personal interaction repeatedly despite a clear indication of disinterest by such woman), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the IPC.
"We have registered the FIR and are hunting for the accused. The victim mentioned in the FIR that she met him at Salman Khan's residence but did not specify the relationship between Abdulla and Khan. We are investigating the case thoroughly," said a senior police officer.
