Superstar Salman Khan, who had worked with versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in two big hits - "Kick" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" - tweeted his best wishes for the latter's new release, "Manjhi –The Mountain Man".
"Kick n bajrangi bhaijaan k baad nawaz ki film Majhi release hogayi hai aaj wishing @Nawazuddin_S n the team all the best n a big hit (sic)," tweeted Salman.
While Nawazuddin played the role of a corrupt businessman in "Kick", he was seen in the role of a TV journalist for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". His characters in both the films were immensely liked.
In "Manjhi-The Mountain Man" directed by Ketan Mehta, the actor portrays Dashrath Manjhi, a poor man from a tiny village who single-handedly carved a path through a mountain using just a hammer and a chisel. It took him 22 years to complete the mammoth task. His prime motive was to shorten the distance between the village and the nearest hospital, as his wife died owing to the lack of urgent medical attention.
The movie, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, was released on Friday, 21 August and received positive reviews from critics. Several Bollywood celebs also gave thumbs up to the flick.
