Salman Khan isn't the one to mince words and is known for his honesty. At the sidelines of Zee Cine Awards 2016, he said "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" director Sooraj Barjatya should have received more happiness than what he got from the beautiful film he made.
"Sooraj should have got more happiness from 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. I think it should have done better than 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' for Sooraj because he worked really hard. It was a beautiful story of a brother-sister," The Press Trust of India quoted him as saying.
When asked if he would team up with him again, he responded in the affirmative saying he is the movie star he is because of Sooraj. If Sooraj hadn't made "Maine Pyar Kiya" with Salman, he wouldn't have been what he is today.
This statement partially confirms the buzz of them doing an action flick together, after Salman wraps up Ali Abbas Zafar's "Sultan." Based on what has been reported so far, the 50-year-old actor will return as Prem but will not be serenading his leading lady with arms wide open this time.
"Immediately after wrapping up his next, Salman will roll with this production, sometime in October. A three-month shooting schedule is being planned. Both agree that it is best for Salman to shed his romantic image. That's the reason he wants to play Prem as an action hero next," the Mumbai Mirror quoted an insider as saying.
However, at the recently-concluded award show, Salman also said he should be eliminated from the competition. It's been decades that he has been around and that it was the time for the youngsters to be appreciated and applauded.
