After the Mumbai Sessions Court found Salman Khan guilty in 2002 hit-and-run-case and sentenced him to 5 years in jail, singer Abhijeet, in a series of tweets, criticised people sleeping on roads for the plight of the superstar.
"Suicide is crime so is sleeping on footpath..80% homeles film ppl strugld achievd stardom but never slept on footpath @BeingSalmanKhan," Abhijeet had tweeted.

Abhijeet's offensive comments were slammed by several Twitterati who felt that his posts were "ridiculous and insensitive".
A written complaint was submitted against the singer in Jhotwara Police Station seeking an FIR against him for his objectionable comments.
The complainant, city-based activist Suraj Soni, said in his statement the singer has hurt sentiments of the people and hence, legal action should be taken against him.
However, the police has not filed an FIR as yet.
"We have not registered any FIR so far and has kept the complaint for a probe," Shiv Kumar Bharadwaj, Station House Officer of Jhotwara Police Station, told PTI.
However, after receiving flak, the "Lamha Lamha" singer took to Twitter to defend his tweet and even apologised for his conduct. Abhijeet said: "I am sorry for the words I used."
