Salman Khan will reportedly be seen in a dual avatar in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's next. The "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun" director is all set to reunite with Salman after years, for a family drama.
"Salman is playing a double role in the film and he is quite excited about teaming up with Sooraj Barjatya after a gap of 15 years. The film's remaining cast is yet to be finalised," Mid Day quoted a source.
Salman had last played the role of identical twins separated at birth in Sajid Nadiadwala's "Judwaa" in 1997.
Recently, Salman's contemporary Aamir Khan had donned a double role in YRF's blockbuster "Dhoom 3". While Aamir's twin roles proved lucky, it remains to be seen whether Salman will face the same fate.
Meanwhile, speculations of the female lead opposite the superstar in the film seem to be endless. After Deepika Padukone rejected the film, Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra's name have been doing the rounds. However, there has been no confirmation from Rajshri Productions on the female lead yet.
Adding to these rumours, Emirates 24/7 reported that the 48-year-old has put his foot down against casting a busy actress anymore, after Deepika opted out of the project citing date issues. Salman now wants either a newcomer or a senior actress to be cast opposite him.
The Sooraj Barjatya film is slated to start shooting from mid June this year, with an expected 2015 Diwali release. Currently, a massive set for the film is being created in Karjat, outskirts of Mumbai.
