Swine Flu has caught on with the nation, and now it has begun to spread its tentacles in the Hindi film industry.
After Sonam Kapoor was diagnosed with the flu on Saturday, Salman Khan wanted to make sure he wasn't infected as he came in close contact with the actress while shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". According to an ABP report, the "Kick" actor was tested negative for the H1N1 Virus.
In other news, Sonam might have been exposed to the virus while training with his physical fitness instructor who was reportedly down with the flu. Also, filmmaker-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, wife Anupama Chopra and the couple's son have been diagnosed with Swine Flu.
However, the "Khoobsurat" actress is being airlifted to Mumbai on Sunday for further treatment. Meanwhile, the shooting has been brought to a halt and is expected to resume once she gets better.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the fashionista needed medical attention on the sets. Last week, she slipped and bruised her ankle while shooting for a special puppet-themed song for the film.
But, like a true professional she got back on her feet to wrapped shoot so the crew could function as per schedule. The actress also battled a respiratory infection a few weeks ago and was admitted to the hospital for a night or two.
Directed by Barjatya, the film also features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar and Armaan Kohli in key roles. The music of the film has been reportedly composed by Himesh Reshammiya and will apparently have no item numbers.
