Salman Khan, who has dated actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Somy Ali, among others, said that his father always gave him permission to bring his lady love to home, rather than spending time in public places.
The superstar made the remark in reference to a question on the show Dus Ka Dum. Talking about the struggles that young couples face, Salman said that his father Salim Khan had "clear-cut instruction" when it is about his girlfriends.
"These couples are helpless as there are around 8-10 people in a small house. These youngsters cannot afford to book a hotel as the society takes it in any other way. My father gave me a clear-cut instruction when it came to girlfriends. He gave us the permission to spend time at home rather than roaming around the city," the Bharat actor.
He added that Salim Khan made same rules for Salman's sisters, and they were instructed not to hide if they are romantically involved with any man.
"The same instruction was applicable to my sisters as well. If they have any good man in their life, they should first tell their parents and not hide anything from them. He has given us the right to take the decision on whom to marry and whom not to marry," he said.
Salman's love-life has been a roller coaster ride with a lot of controversies and drama. His most dramatic split happened with Aishwarya, following which he started dating Katrina but even that could not turn into marriage. While Katrina is believed to be his good friend now, the actor is also linked with Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur.
