Salman Khan is busy filming for Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", after wrapping up the shooting of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

Khan and Barjatya have teamed up after a gap of 13 years. Recently, Khan gave a surprise to Barjatya by bringing a cake and celebrating his birthday on the sets of the movie.

Khan will be seen romancing Sonam Kapoor in the film for the first time, although the duo had briefly worked together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Saawariya" where Salman made a special appearance.

Few people know that the "Bodyguard" actor is shy to romance Sonam, according to Bollywood Life.

Here are more lesser-known facts about the film and the superstar:

  • From "Hum Aapke Kaun" to "Hum Saath Saath Hain", Salman took the character of "Prem" to a new level each time. But this time, the "Dabangg" actor finds his role too tough. "It's ('Prem...') the most difficult film I am doing in a very, very long time because it's been 13 years since I have worked with Sooraj. I have changed so much, I'm not that pure person anymore. I have seen a lot more (sic)," he told The Indian Express.
  • Salman gets a punch by a female actress in "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". Well, it's not Sonam, but Swara Bhaskar who will play Khan's sister in the film. "Like any brother-sister duo, there's a lot of sibling rivalry between us in reel life which at one point results in me getting physical. I'm really nervous about the scene. Once this gets out, his fans will probably land up on the sets to beat me," Bollywoodlife quoted Bhaskar as saying.
  • Sonam Kapoor was hospitalized for a few days after suffering from respiratory problems on the sets.
  • Kapoor once had to cancel her night-out with a childhood friend when Barjatya called her. She was called to shoot a romantic scene in the wee hours of the next day.
  • Like "Happy New Year", the team of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is also planning to promote their film by organizing a tour.

Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will see Salman play a double role: one as a common man, and the other as a prince. Sonam will play the role of a princess.

The film may be released around 2015 Diwali. Apart from the lead actors, the film also features Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles.

Although it's a family drama, sources suggest that "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will be different from its predecessors.
