Salman Khan has reportedly purchased the Hindi remake rights of Telugu thriller "Kshanam" recently. The recent buzz is that Salman will play the lead actor and his ex-flame Sangeeta Bijlani might play the lead actress.
In the Ravikanth Perepu directorial, Adivi Sesh and Adah Sharma played the lead roles. The film is about a U.S.-based NRI who comes to India in search for his ex-girlfriend's daughter. According to Miss Malini, the ex-girlfriend's character might be played by Sangeeta.
Earlier, it has been reported that the actress is looking at making a comeback to films. Though no confirmation regarding the cast has been made yet, this film can be a great opportunity for Sangeeta to begin her second innings in Bollywood.
It will be interesting to see Salman and Sangeeta in a film together. The actress has been spotted several times with Salman at events or house parties of late. Will the "Sultan" actor recommend Sangeeta for the role or not? Only time will tell.
Salman watched the film, "Kshanam," and was impressed with the storyline that he decided to remake it in Hindi along with producer Sajid Nadiadwala. "The estranged lovers reunite by the end and Salman enjoyed that back story the most," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying.
Rumour has it that Salman wants to cast Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the negative role. Also, there were reports that Harshaali Malhotra of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" fame might be considered for the daughter's character.
"Casting is currently underway. Bhai has his eyes set on his favourite co-star in recent times, Nawazuddin Siddiqui ('Kick,' 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan') to play the antagonist. The film requires a child as well. We'll have to wait and watch if the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' cast reunites once again," the source added.
