Actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have landed in fresh trouble. A plea, filed against Salman, Shah Rukh and Colors TV channel for showing the two Khans wearing shoes inside a temple during "Bigg Boss 9" promotions, has been accepted by a court in Meerut, reports PTI.
Salman and Shah Rukh were recently seen together on "Bigg Boss 9", which is being hosted by the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor. This episode of SRK's appearance on the show was extensively promoted on the channel. One of the promotional videos replicated Salman and Shah Rukh's brotherhood in the movie "Karan Arjun". A Kali temple was an essential part of the film and thus the makers of "Bigg Boss 9" showed the two popular Khans inside a similar temple.
While the promotional video became very popular among fans, Salman and Shah Rukh wearing shoes inside a temple did not go down well with the Hindu Mahasabha and a petition was filed aginst the actors and Colors TV.
Hindu Mahasabha president of Meerut unit Bharat Rajput said that no one should enter any religious place wearing shoes and it was insensitive on the part of the channel to air the same as such acts hurt people's sentiments.
The report also said that Rajput had initially written a letter to SSP and District Magistrate of Meerut about the issue, and had also forwarded an email to the channel. However, with no response from the district administration and the channel authorities, a petition was filed against the actors and Colors TV. The case will be heard on 18 January.
